When you need to gather the courage to deal with a difficult situation, take ten minutes out for the following practice.
- Observe your natural breath for 2 minutes. There is no need to change it or slow it down on purpose. Just watch your breath.
- Go to a memory, image, song, phrase or anything else that represents courage for you. Connect to it and keep refreshing it till you can start feeling the courage flowing from it to you. Absorb the essence of courage from it.
- Hold the sensation of courage in your body. Feel the certitude and calmness. Hold the essence of courage in your mind, body and life-energy.
- Apply or bring this courage to your current context. From a courageous space, what is it that you need to do?
