It is difficult for even the best pianist to play beautiful music if their instrument is damaged and out of tune. Any sound they make will be incomparable to the beauty of the same notes played on a good, perfectly tuned piano.
It is the same for us. If we want to cultivate beauty we must have some discipline in our lives. We can start by looking at the room we live in. Does it have order? It is hard to embody beauty when surrounded by unwashed plates and dirty laundry.
It is not just about the mess we see around us. One must also look within to see whether our inner nature needs attention too. Just like the pianist we must be diligent in tuning our mind, body and senses. Then we too can become an instrument for expression of great beauty.
